Situated west of the city of Tours, you will follow the river Loire  to reach and visit the castle of Azay le Rideau, a typical Renaissance palace built on an island on the river Indre with its delicate turrets and purely decorative fortification. You will go to the castle of Villandry with its magnificent French Renaissance gardens designed by André Le Notre and to the castle of Langeais the oldest medieval chateau. It is a fortress with towers, crenellations and arrow-slit windows built in the XI century and richly furnished.
