A full day dedicated to memory of the heroes of the last world war but also a charming visit of this Normandy region famous for producing cider, calvados liquor, the unrivalled Camembert cheese and historical medieval cities.
You will be picked up at your hotel around 7.00 am and depending of the weather and the traffic you will either begin this tour by visiting the landing beaches sites in the morning or in the afternoon.
It takes around 2 hours drive to reach Normandy. En route you will discover the unique variety of landscape which is Normandy’s most striking features called : le Bocage Normand.
You will start this tour with a visit the Peace Memorial of Caen showing a large room dedicated to the DDay operations with a film about the operations of June 6th 1944.

You will then travel through the 30 miles coasting scenic road of the beaches. you will see Juno, Gold and reach Arromanches and the artificial harbour built for the DDay. You will continue to the famous preserved coastal defence battery of Longues, Omaha beach and the American cemetery and it memorial. Finaly you will go La Pointe du Hoc and its memorial where US rangers scaled the cliffs.

En route you will see a cider and calvados cellar.Lunch on your own

You will be back in Paris around 8.00 pm.
