The Gallo-Roman quarries were transformed into ossuary during the French revolution with six million skeletons from Parisian cemeteries. The place has been totally renovated in 2005 and covers an area of 11.000sq. This is an incredible labyrinthine galleries, 2 km/1,3 miles long in the Paris underground. This is an unusual place to visit.

You will then discover with your guide all the secret places and majestic monuments of the Latin district : la Sorbonne, St Séverin Church dating from the 13th centery, Bd St Michel & St Germain, St Etienne du Mont Church with its medieval window and rood screen,  the museum of the Middle Age built on the Gallo-Roman ruins, with its medieval gardens, the Panthéon with its 22 Corinthian columns, The Lutece Arena : the Roman amphitheatre of the city used in the 4 century for burials, the Mouffetard street market place…You will then go to the Luxembourg quarter with its Palace and gracious garden which covers 60 acres in the heart of the left bank,  our guide will then show the imposing St Sulpice church nearly as big as Notre Dame Cathedral built in the 17th century with three magnificent murals from Delacroix.

At last you will go St Germain des Prés and its famous church, cafés : famous meeting place of the philosophers and restaurants: Lipp and le Procope.

Guided visit of the Rive gauche : the districts of St Michel and St Germain and visit of this incredible place dedicated to the history of the Parisians, the ossuary covers an area of 11.000 sq meter and contains around 6 millions skeletons gradually collected in the former quarries dduring the French revolution until mid XIX century. This is an astonishing labyrinthine galleries 2 km length in the Paris underground.
