This is an amazing full day tour combining the art of producing Champagne in the Epernay region and the history heritage of France in Reims.

You will be picked up at your hotel around 7.30 am and will reach the Champagne region in less than 2 hours. En route to Epernay the road is surrounded by vineyards during 20 miles making the countryside unique. Epernay is a typical French country side charming city, home of all the famous champagne estates. LVMH – Moet & Chandon is our preferred partner and worldwide known as one of the best champagne producer.

You will visit one of its properties Mercier founded in 1858. You will be accompanied inside the cellars where you will board a laser-guided train to visit the 10 miles cellars before enjoying a tasting of a “Mercier cuvee” (Mercier can be replaced by the famous Mumm Champagne cellar). You will have lunch in a typical local restaurant (3 course menu with choice, drinks not included).

You will continue with the most remarkable house: Moet & Chandon founded in 1743: an exceptional heritage bears witness to centuries of champagne elaboration. This is the biggest cellar of the city with 18 miles of tunnels. After the visit you will taste this exceptional champagne. During these visits you will have the opportunity to buy some bottles as all the cellars have their own shops.

You will leave Epernay and crossed the Reims hills and en route, pay a visit to Hautvillers a charming village with its ancient abbey where is buried Dom Perignon.

Reims is just a few miles far from Epernay. City of art and history UNESCO listed world heritage sites. Reims is an impressive city with its cathedral built in the 13th century where all the French kings have been crowned. This is a unique gothic style. You will see the outskirts of the Palace of Tau and if time allows you will also visit the St Remi basilica dating from the 12th century.
From Reims, it is only 1,5 hours to come back to Paris with the highway you will reach around 5.00 pm.

Depending of the traffic the tour can start either by Reims in the morning and Epernay in the afternoon or vice versa.
